Ghanaian afrobeats artist Camidoh has sincerely apologized for his recent comments comparing Nigerian and Ghanaian women.
In an interview on Onua Showtime, he clarified that he did not intend to disrespect Ghanaian women but rather to highlight that Nigerian women tend to be more exposed to a wider range of issues.
This greater exposure enables them to understand certain topics more easily than their Ghanaian counterparts.
“When discussing various topics, Ghanaian women might react with surprise, while Nigerian women are more familiar with what’s happening in the world,” he explained.
“I didn’t mean to insult Ghanaian women. If my words were perceive that way, I’m truly sorry. I love my people and deeply appreciate my Ghanaian women, who are incredibly supportive. I take full responsibility for my remarks; please forgive me,” he stated.
This apology comes in response to previous comments he made on a podcast, where he suggested that Nigerian women are more open-minded than those from Ghana.
