Cadman Mills Slams Family For Demanding An Autopsy Of Late Atta Mills

Written by Louis

In response to a resurrected request for the late president’s autopsy report from some of his family, Dr. Cadman Mills, the brother of the late Ghanaian president John Evans Atta-Mills, has stated that they were unaware of the late leader’s cause of death.

Dr. Mills said that the 37 Military Hospital can provide a copy of the autopsy report to the “legitimate family.”

During a Saturday visit to President Akufo-Addo in Accra, Nana Enyimfua III, speaking on behalf of the family in Ekumfi Otuam, made the request for the autopsy report.
Concerning the unidentified reason for President Atta-Mills’ death, Nana Enyimfua emphasised the need to get the autopsy report for historical records and closure.

In response, however, Dr. Cadman Mills acknowledged that an autopsy had been performed at the 37 Military Hospital and promised to provide the results to the rightful family upon request.

Dr. Mills addressed the issue by saying, “VERY STALE NEWS!!! And exasperating! President Mills passed away. There was an autopsy at 37 Military Hospital. As mandated by law, a “family representative” attended the autopsy. The legal family is free to request a copy from ’37’ whenever they like. Next Topic.

The family’s main issue, according to Nana Enyimfua III, was that they had not seen an autopsy report since she was enstooled as queen mother. The biggest issue I have with the family is that I won’t be able to respond to inquiries about what killed him if the doctor says he broke his neck, arm, or drank something.

She begged President Akufo-Addo and the administration once more to provide them with the autopsy report, stressing that it would be an important source of knowledge for future generations.

President Nana Akufo-Addo said in response to the request, “I’ll have to find out how to proceed on that, but it’s a legitimate demand,” acknowledging its validity. The President understood the significance of releasing the autopsy findings, particularly given the circumstances surrounding President Atta-Mills’ death, and gave the family his word that their request would be taken into consideration.

As previously indicated, only Samuel Atta Mills, the late President’s brother, claimed to have a copy of the autopsy report. This led to Nana Enyimfua III’s reiteration of her petition and Dr. Cadman Mills’ response.
