Actor and singer Jamie Foxx has disclosed that he suffered a brain bleed, which led to a stroke last April.
Foxx revealed that the ordeal began with a severe headache. Before he could take an aspirin, he lost consciousness and remained unaware of his condition for 20 days while hospitalized.
He explained that paramedics initially downplayed his symptoms, sending him home after administering a cortisone injection. However, his sister noticed his unusual behaviour and insisted on taking him to Piedmont Hospital.
At the hospital, doctors diagnosed a brain bleed and emphasised the urgency of immediate surgery to save his life.
Reflecting on the experience, Foxx described it with surprising calmness. He recalled a peaceful, tunnel-like vision and even joked about the heat in the tunnel, wondering if he was headed in the wrong direction.
Doctors informed his family that recovery was possible but would be a difficult journey. Since regaining his health, Foxx has expressed profound gratitude for the unwavering support of his loved ones.
