Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale has refuted claims that Blakk Cedi, the former manager of Stonebwoy, has taken over his management.
In an interview at Kotoka International Airport on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, Shatta Wale clarified that Blakk Cedi only temporarily assisted with his team and emphasised that Sammy Flex remains his manager.
“Blakk Cedi’s role was just like JoyNews coming here to interview me; that’s all he did. I have no issues with anyone. Blakk Cedi used to manage Stonebwoy, but I don’t have a problem with Stonebwoy. I’m open to anyone who wants to support me. A big shout-out to Blakk Cedi for his contribution, but he is not managing me. Sammy Flex is still my manager,” he stated.
The rumours that Blakk Cedi had taken over Shatta Wale’s management began circulating after he posted a message on social media thanking Shatta Wale for involving him in the team that contributed to the success of the Vybz Kartel Freedom Street Concert in Jamaica. In the post, Blakk Cedi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to play a role in the event’s success.
