The Black Stars kicked off training on Monday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium, with 11 players preparing for their doubleheader against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Earlier, the senior national team gathered, including key players like Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Joseph Wollacott, Elisha Owusu, and Mohammed Salisu.
Frederick Asare, Isaac Afful, Antoine Semenyo, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Gideon Mensah, and Brandon Thomas-Asante also participated in the session. The remaining squad members will join the team by Monday night in time for the second training session on Tuesday.
However, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) confirmed that injuries will keep Thomas Partey, Joseph Paintsil, Ibrahim Osman, and Kingsley Schindler out of the matches. Ghana will face Sudan in the first leg of the qualifiers on Thursday, October 10, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
