American music icon Beyoncé will take centre stage as the halftime performer for this year’s National Football League (NFL) Christmas Day game.
Beyoncé announced the performance on her official Instagram account, while game broadcaster Netflix confirmed the news. She will perform during the matchup between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens.
She plans to spotlight tracks from her country-inspired album, *Cowboy Carter*, offering fans the album’s first live showcase.
Netflix will stream the NFL Christmas games and stated, “Beyoncé is believe to feature special guests from the Cowboy Carter album, although details of her set remain undisclosed.”
Beyoncé’s collaboration with the NFL is not new. She headlined the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in 2013 and returned in 2016 to perform with Coldplay and Bruno Mars.
This announcement comes after her historic milestone as the most-nominated artist in Grammy history, earning 11 nominations this season.
