Flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah, has announced plans to appeal to the Supreme Court following the dismissal of his lawsuit by the High Court.
Addressing the media on Monday, October 21, Mornah argued that the Electoral Commission (EC) wrongly disqualified him, along with ten other candidates, from contesting in the 2024 presidential election.
Further, Mornah also revealed that his legal team has been require to take the matter to the Supreme Court for further clarification. Thus, expressed confidence in his case and stressed the importance of a higher court reviewing the EC’s decision.
“The EC made mistakes on their own forms, yet we are not entrust the same allowance. The judge ignored this, which defies common sense. What exactly is the error they are referring to? Is it a data entry or composition mistake? Why weren’t these issues raise before the court?
“The judge overlooked the critical points, so I have directed my lawyers to take this case to the Supreme Court, and they are preparing to review it swiftly,” he said.
