Bernard Anbataayela Mornah, flagbearer of the People’s National Convention, has taken legal action against the Electoral Commission (EC) after being disqualified from the upcoming December presidential election.
Mornah, one of 11 candidates disqualified by the EC, argues that the decision violates his rights and is seeking a court order to compel the EC to recognize him as a valid candidate for the 2024 election. He is also requesting a halt to ballot printing and further election preparations until his candidacy is reinstate.
This comes after the EC disqualified him for submitting incomplete supporter details, misusing registered voters across districts, and providing inconsistent signatures.
