“Bawumia Will Propel Ghana Forward”- Prez. Akuffo-Addo

Written by Sarah Boye

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed strong confidence in Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, describing him as a capable leader poised to lead Ghana to greater success.

Speaking in Kumasi on Sunday, November 24, Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians to support Dr Bawumia’s bid for the presidency, emphasising his extensive experience and clear vision for the country’s progress.

Akufo-Addo contrasted Dr. Bawumia with former president John Dramani Mahama, stating,

“We have two contenders: one is a failed president, and the other is Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.”

Further, he reminded the audience that four leaders—Jerry John Rawlings, John Agyekum Kufuor, John Dramani Mahama, and himself—had served as president, but only Mahama failed to secure a second term due to his poor performance.

The president cautioned against repeating the 2008 mistake when the NPP lost power, urging the Ashanti Region to unite behind Dr. Bawumia to ensure a victory in the 2024 elections.
