Minister for Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah highlighted job creation and economic growth as top priorities for a Bawumia-led government.
Speaking at the Election 2024 Dialogue on October 3, 2024, at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), he outlined the NPP’s vision for the country under Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia if he wins the 2024 election.
As Vice Chair of the NPP’s Manifesto Committee, Oppong Nkrumah addressed that, Bawumia’s plan to shift Ghana’s economy from raw material dependence to value addition and industrialisation.
“Dr. Bawumia aims to turn Ghana into a hub for value-added products, moving beyond raw material exports,” he stated.
Further, Oppong Nkrumah also stressed that a Bawumia government would expand the ongoing digitalisation agenda to formalise the economy and boost government revenue.
“We’ve already made progress with mobile money interoperability and the Ghana Card. The next phase will fully integrate these technologies into our financial systems to support businesses and generate more jobs,” he added.
