Bawumia Pledges To Address GA State Longstanding Challenges

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has promised to tackle longstanding challenges in the GA state if he wins the December 7 presidential election. 

During a visit to the Ga Mantse’s palace on November 28, Dr Bawumia identified land disputes, youth unemployment, and the decline of the Ga language as urgent issues. 

He explained that hosting Ghana’s capital places unique pressures on the Ga state, including high demand for land, which limits access to affordable plots for indigenes.

Further, he also stressed the need to expand educational opportunities, create jobs for Ga youth, and revive the Ga language, which is declining due to its reduced use in the region. 

Additionally , Dr Bawumia assured the Ga Mantse and the Ga people of his commitment to resolving these challenges.

“As president, I will vow to ensure Ga lecture in schools, address land disputes with the government, collaborate with traditional leaders to find solutions. to secure outcomes that benefit the GA state,” he affirmed.

His visit followed the signing of a peace pact, where he reaffirmed the NPP’s dedication to peaceful elections and the protection of Ghana’s democratic principles.
