Bawumia Addresses Criticism On Fulfillment Of NPP Promises

Written by Sarah Boye

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia the New Patriotic Party flagbearer, has tackled criticism from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) about the fulfilment of NPP promises.

During a media engagement on August 25, Bawumia responded to the NDC’s claim that, as a prominent member of the current government, he should address the party’s promises now instead of waiting until after the elections.

Bawumia questioned John Dramani Mahama’s bid to return to power, asking whether the former President had fulfilled his previous promises. He pointed out that Mahama had only partially met his commitments and criticised his economic management, highlighting issues such as power outages, the cancellation of nursing allowances, and business failures during Mahama’s tenure.

In contrast, Bawumia highlighted his administration’s achievements, such as creating 2.1 million jobs over the past seven years.
