13 Protesters Remain In Police Custody After Court Appearance

Oliver Barker-Vormawor and 12 other members of the Democracy Hub will spend two weeks in police custody following their initial court appearance.

They face multiple charges, including conspiracy to commit unlawful assembly, unlawful assembly, property damage, offensive conduct likely to breach the peace, assault on a public officer, defacement of public property, and theft.

Authorities arrested him and some others for alleged unlawful activities during the group’s demonstration over the weekend.

The court has scheduled the group to return on October 8.
