The Bank of Ghana (BoG), in partnership with the Ghana Police Service, has closed Dek-Nock Investments, located in Nungua and Ashaiman within the Greater Accra Region.

In a press statement dated July 19, 2024, BoG explained that the police shut down the company under Section 20(2)(g) of the Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930) for unauthorised deposit-taking. Dek-Nock Investments violated Section 6(1) of Act 930 by engaging in such activities.

The police are now investigating Dek-Nock Investments further and advise customers to remain calm during this period.

The statement also noted that BoG, along with law enforcement agencies, will continue to address illegal deposit-taking and ensure that those responsible face legal consequences.
