Kumawood movie icons Big Akwess, Christiana Awuni, and Okomfo Kolege have revealed that their support for John Mahama in the 2024 election is influence by a genuine desire for change.
In an interview on *Daybreak Hitz*, they shared that their backing of Mahama, as well as their opposition to the Akufo-Addo administration, stemmed from frustrations over unmet promises, particularly regarding the creative arts industry.
Christiana Awuni stressed that her advocacy stems from the need for practical solutions to the challenges facing the film industry.
“People think we supported the NDC out of selfishness, but that’s not the case. We did this for Ghana.”
