The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has called on supporters to refrain from voting “Skirt and Blouse” in the upcoming elections.
Addressing chiefs, clergy, and community members at Sakora Park in Donkorkrom on November 21, Mahama stressed the significance of party unity and loyalty. He urged voters to back Betty Mensah Krosby, the NDC’s sole officially endorsed parliamentary candidate.
“We do not want any ‘Skirt and Blouse’ voting. I have not endorsed any other candidate for parliament; Betty Mensah Krosby is the only one. We need more MPs to support the development of Afram Plains,” Mahama emphasised.
The term “skirt and blouse” refers to voting for a presidential candidate from one party and a parliamentary candidate from another.
