Newly approved Finance Minister, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for appointing him to serve the nation.
In a Facebook post after Parliament approved his nomination on January 21, Dr. Forson pledged to serve with humility, integrity, diligence, and transparency.
“I am truly excited and grateful to God for the opportunity to serve as finance minister. I sincerely thank President John Dramani Mahama for entrusting me with this important responsibility, Parliament for their confidence and support, and the people of Ghana for their trust,” he wrote.
Further, Dr Forson reaffirmed his commitment to addressing Ghana’s economic challenges and creating opportunities for all citizens.
“As I take on this role, I assure all Ghanaians that I will serve with humility, integrity, diligence, and transparency,” he stated.
Additionally, he also emphasised that Ghana is open for business and urged investments that will foster sustainable development and national prosperity.
“Together, we will work to reduce inflation, stabilise the cedi, create jobs, promote inclusive growth, and generate opportunities for all Ghanaians,” he added.
