The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, showed his dedication to education by donating GH₵500,000 to the Ga Education Fund at the Ga Mantse royal palace in Accra over the weekend.
In his speech, he emphasized that the focus of development must be on the welfare of children.
“I want to donate an amount of GH₵500,000 to the Ga Education Fund to help in the education of less-privileged Ga children,” he stated.
Otumfuo also expressed his gratitude to Nii Teiko Tsuru II and the Ga state, saying,
“I appreciate your presence during my 25th-anniversary celebration. You showed love. I pray for guidance from the gods. My doors are open. Anytime you need advice on any subject, I am always available.”
He further stressed the importance of unity, advising that the people of Ga and Ashanti must unite for the development of their communities.
This durbar marks a significant event, as it is part of the first historic visit by Asantehene Otumfuo Prempeh II’s to the Ga State since 1946.
