Artiste manager and entertainment pundit, Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, recently took to Facebook to express his dissatisfaction with Ghanaian music duo R2Bees and songstress Efya for missing out on opportunities to share the international spotlight with Nigerian music star, Wizkid. Bullgod questioned why the Ghanaian artists often spend time with Wizkid during his visits to Ghana but fail to join him on international stages to showcase their talents to the world.
Bullgod’s Facebook post on Saturday, July 29, emphasized the importance of Ghanaian musicians leveraging international platforms to promote their craft and gain global recognition. He expressed his concern over the missed chance for Ghana to make a mark at the 62,850-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London during Wizkid’s “More Love, Less Ego” concert. Nigerian music and artists, he pointed out, had once again elevated their relevance on the international stage through Wizkid’s sold-out performance.
Notably, Wizkid’s feat at the Tottenham Stadium marked him as the first African artiste to achieve such a milestone. It came on the heels of Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy’s historic achievement in selling out the 80,000-capacity Olympics stadium in London.
