Armed robbers kidnap a deacon and rob a Pentecost church in South Africa.

Written by Louis

The unexpected event occurred as a group of armed criminals conducted a horrific attack on Ghanaian worshippers at the Church of Pentecost in South Africa.

In a widely shared video that was shown on social media, masked and armed thieves broke into the religious facility like Rambo, causing mayhem and terror in their wake.

The congregation members were made to lie on the ground by the robbers with firearms, who then took their belongings and cell phones at gunpoint.

The time the pastor was preaching in the church when the armed men, who looked like characters from an action movie, broke into the quiet and the attackers entered the auditorium brandishing firearms and acting in a “Rambo-style” manner is seen on camera.

Presumably the assembly’s spiritual leader, the preacher was not spared, falling prey to the merciless bandits.

When one of the robbers reached the pulpit and forced the pastor to show them where the money was being held on church property, the situation took an even more worrying turn.

The burglars then quickly took the Preacher to an undisclosed place.

High Commission’s Reaction

Concern over the occurrence has been addressed by the Ghana High Commission in Pretoria in a statement to the Ghanaian community in South Africa.

The High Commission of the Republic of Ghana has been alerted to an incident in which members of the Johannesburg branch of the Ghanaian Church of Pentecost were robbed of their valuables at gunpoint and a church deacon was abducted during a church service, according to the statement obtained by Yadtvblog.com.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) and the Mission are currently cooperating to facilitate the victim’s safe and prompt release, as well as his return to his family, according to the High Commission.

It is important to understand that the South African Police is actively investigating the situation and making every effort to guarantee the safe return of of our countrymen.

“Mission wishes to advise all members of the Ghanaian community to take necessary/precautions to ensure their safety and well-being and will update the Community of any further developments related to the case” the statement added.
