The American rapper and composer Busta Rhymes has said that he will take a vacation to Ghana later in the year.
The Grammy-nominated entertainer disclosed that he had been invited by comedian Dave Chappelle in 2023 but was unable to go owing to other commitments in an exclusive interview with Berla Mundi during the pre-66th Grammy event in Los Angeles.
Still, he said he would be open to spending the holidays in Ghana this year.
“I actually had plans to come to Ghana last year during Christmas. David Chappelle was trying to bring me, but I had other commitments. I am not going to promise, but that is the goal—to be in Ghana this year,” he shared during the interview with Berla Mundi.
The rapper also discussed his most recent work on the song “Roboshotta,” which is part of his eleventh studio album Blockbusta, and features Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy.
On November 24, 2023, the album was made available via his Conglomerate Entertainment label, with distribution handled by Epic Records.
In addition to expressing his pleasure for the partnership with Burna Boy, Busta Rhymes hinted at his wish for additional partnerships with other African artists.
It was breathtakingly lovely. There’s positive energy. He said, “The Burna Boy moment occurred at the perfect time and location.
