President John Dramani Mahama has dissolved all boards of statutory corporations, commissions, and councils appointed by the former Nana Akufo-Addo administration.
The order, signed by Acting Spokesperson for the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu informs members that their terms ended with Mahama’s assumption of office.
Further, the notice also clarifies that independent constitutional bodies are exempt from this directive. Whereas affected boards and commissions will be restore in line with their respective enabling laws.
According to the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845), all members of boards, corporations, commissions, and councils appointed by the previous president or any former minister lost their positions on January 7, 2025.
