The founder and leader of the Movement for Change, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, has launch his party’s manifesto in Accra.
In his speech, Mr Kyerematen introduced his Great Transformational Plan, a comprehensive blueprint designed to drive Ghana’s economic transformation.
This plan outlines robust policy prescriptions and practical steps aimed at building an enterprise-driven economy, setting it apart from the policies of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which he claimed have reached the limits of their competencies.
“Among other objectives, the plan seeks to build a prosperous, united, and peaceful Ghana that provides equal opportunities for all, particularly young people, women, and other vulnerable groups, enabling them to realise their full potential and improve their livelihoods and general well-being,” Kyerematen added.
Following this announcement, he revealed plans to replace the Council with a new Second Chamber of Parliament, which will include representatives from key stakeholder groups.
“I will abolish the Council of State and establish a new Second Chamber of Parliament with representation from key stakeholders including faith-based organisations, traditional authorities, professional bodies, gender-based organisations, the private sector, labour unions, and people with disabilities.
This approach aims to create an all-inclusive government and foster national unity, he declared.
