Alan Kyerematen, leader of the Movement for Change, has vowed to implement comprehensive initiatives aimed at enhancing the lives of all Zongo community residents if elected.
Speaking at the launch of Zumunta at the Zongo wing of his party, in Accra, Kyerematen criticised the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for neglecting Zongo communities, despite heavily relying on their electoral support.
According to him, a central focus of his plan is to integrate Arabic school teachers into the Ghana Education Service (GES), ensuring they receive regular salaries for their vital work.
Further, he also promised to include Makaranta teachers in a government salary scheme if he becomes president.
“It’s unfortunate that Makaranta teachers are not recognise as part of the Ghana Education Service, as teaching is a universal profession.Kyerematen affirm his commitment to integrating them into the GES when he becomes president.”
