Ahmed Ibrahim, Agnes Lartey And Others Approved As Ministers

Parliament has approved the appointments of Ahmed Ibrahim, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare as ministers following a rigorous vetting and debate process.

Ahmed Ibrahim, MP for Banda, will head the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, MP for Krowor, will oversee the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, while Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, MP for Techiman North, will lead the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry.

The Parliamentary Appointments Committee led the vetting, scrutinising the nominees’ qualifications, skills, and visions for their ministries. A majority vote in the House confirmed the nominees.
