WHAT IS FIBROID?
Fibroids, non-cancerous growths in the uterus with symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and frequent urination.
According to The National Institutes of Health estimates that 80% of all women develop uterine fibroids at some point during their lives.
With this, many women with fibroids experience significant discomfort and may seek medical treatment to manage their symptoms.
Doctors diagnose fibroids through pelvic exams and imaging tests like ultrasounds. Treatment options range from medication to surgical procedures, depending on the severity and impact on the patient’s quality of life.
Early detection and management of fibroids can help alleviate symptoms and improve overall health.
