Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has voiced his concerns over the lack of gratitude shown by those who receive financial assistance.
Using social media to address the issue, he highlighted how some people respond to financial help with just a ‘seen’ message.
Kanayo O. Kanayo criticized this reaction as both disrespectful and entitled.
“Hello, my friends, I have one question. Why are many people very ungrateful? You do somebody a favor by sending them money and they respond with ‘seen’? Seen? Come on! Do you think it is your right? This is an inheritance mentality; many people exhibit this behavior and it doesn’t show that you are being grateful,”
He urged individuals to respect and show appreciation when receiving help, suggesting that such gratitude would likely encourage more generosity.
“Gratitude unspoken is ingratitude spoken. It is not your right, so learn to be grateful for whatever someone does for you. That way, the person will be encouraged to do more. Stop being selfish; be grateful, as nobody owes you anything. Wishing everyone a beautiful week ahead,” he added.
