569,095 Candidates Begin BECE Nationwide

Beginning today, 569,095 candidates will start the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) at 2,123 centres nationwide, with the exams set to conclude on Monday, July 15, 2024.

On Sunday, July 7, the Ghana Education Service (GES) lauded the candidates for their hard work and expressed gratitude to teachers, school heads, education directors, parents, guardians, and all stakeholders for their crucial roles in preparing the students.

The GES also urged everyone involved to refrain from any form of examination malpractice, highlighting that the GES, WAEC, and security services are working together to ensure the exams are conducted smoothly.

Furthermore, it was announced that the school selection process will commence after the BECE, with further details to be communicated in due course.
