Kasapa News reports that Mr. Kojo Aquaye was allegedly poisoned by friends at Ajumako Abrofoa in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region.
According to reports, Aquaye was invited to a ceremony where he was served food and drink in a room. After consuming the food and drink, he collapsed with foamy water coming from his mouth, leading eyewitnesses to suspect poisoning.
Mr Aquaye was rushed to the Ajumako District Government Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Hospital staff revealed that his intestines were damaged, suggesting he had consumed a poisonous substance.
Upon hearing of his death, residents speculated that Aquaye, known for stealing belongings while drunk, was poisoned to stop his thefts.
The case has been reported to the Ajumako District Police Command for investigation, and the body has been deposited at the Etuafoa Mortuary for autopsy and preservation.
