Eleven additional members of the Democracy Hub will remain in police custody overnight after Circuit Court 6 adjourned their hearing.
This brings the total number of remanded protesters to 53, all arrested during demonstrations held between September 21 and 23.
The court postponed the session to Thursday, September 25, to give the prosecution time to respond to their bail applications.
This follows protests, organised by Democracy Hub to oppose illegal mining (galamsey) at the 37 Intersection in Accra.
